“…to the last, I grapple with thee; from Hell’s heart, I stab at thee; for hate’s sake, I spit my last breath at thee.”
-Herman Melville, Moby Dick-
In just a matter of days, on Wednesday, November 9th, 2016, the dawn will break over a country in political turmoil, even as this bitter election finally comes to a close. From the burning embers will rise an entirely new conflagration, fueled by sightless rage, as the same nationalists who seized control of the Republican Party through a coup of bigotry and spite seek to hold everyone in the world accountable for their predictable loss except themselves, the only ones that actually deserve the blame.
The smoke will clear over the House and Senate races, and we will know to what extent political forces have shifted in Washington. What’s left of the Republican Party will have to fight the ascendant leftist utopianism of ever expanding budgets, taxation, regulation, and control, at the same time their own party collapses from within. This will remain a difficult political landscape to navigate for many years for conservatives, so we must be prepared.
This will require that the conservatives realize that we have lost our way. Clearly, far too many people mistakenly claim to be conservatives because they bitterly cling to their guns without any understanding the nature of rights, justify all manner of bigotry with their Bibles while ignoring Matthew 5:44, and claim to uphold the principles of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence while being woefully ignorant about what’s actually in either document.
Because we have allied ourselves for decades with the blind and intolerant bigotry of nationalism, is it any surprise that this is how most people in society see conservatism?
“And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.”
-Declaration of Independence-
Have absolutely no illusions, nationalists are as much our political foes as the socialist left, perhaps worse, because they are motivated by a bigoted tribalism that justifies any measure, no matter how extreme. On the other hand, rank and file leftists are at least motivated by a misguided collectivist philosophy of generosity. Whenever conservatives have tried to engage the left, our message of inherent natural rights is always lost in the fascist rhetoric of nationalism.
This is why we have lost the Culture War and why we must abandon the Republican Party. If we remain, everything we will be forced to carry the dead weight of the repugnant bigotry, intolerance, and jingoistic idiocy of nationalism that infects the GOP. If we have learned nothing else from the 2016 election cycle, it was the rank and file nationalists are simply too ignorant and too deluded by their own incoherent, ad hoc, paranoid political theories to reason with.
Conservatism needs its own political party, away from the mass hysteria of nationalism, guided by principle, not political expediency. We must divorce ourselves from the political relics that have gotten fat and rich pushing the Republican Party brand, because it’s not about conservatism for them. It’s about corporatism, feeding off of the same lobbies and political insiders that have traded away our Liberties for decades for their own power and influence.
In this age of social media, a grass roots political party is only weeks, not years, away. Let’s take ownership of our political voice. We start today. How?
- Take ownership of the message. The airways and the media are polluted with the filth of corporate backed political profiteers. They have been the voiced of the right for decades now, living on the teats of corporate and Republican Party benefactors. What do we have to show for all their decades of “service“? 2016. Enough said.
- You’re here for a reason, so spread this message. If you aren’t here to fight the Culture War, why are you even here? We aren’t here to whine about the Culture War. We’re here to win it. This is the message. You are the messenger. Take ownership of the message and share this message via the social media links below.
- Contribute $1.00 a month. If you’re following me, then you should understand that nothing is free: not medical care, not education, and definitely not Liberty. If $1.00 a month is too high a price for the cause of Liberty, but you spend money on Netflix or Hulu or, worse, the Republican Party, I seriously have to wonder if you’re really invested in this fight at all. We don’t need cheerleaders. Put skin in the game.
The fight for the future begins today. It begins right now. Get in it to win it, or go back to listening to SHAMity and the corporate “patriots” who have been spinning their wheels for decades now. The gloves are coming off today.
Liberty is For The Win!
